About the Learjet 60
The Learjet 60 is a mid-size cabin, medium-range business jet aircraft manufactured by Bombardier Aerospace in Wichita, Kansas. The aircraft is an improved version of the Learjet 55, with a longer fuselage and improved turbofan engines. Since then, the aircraft manufacturer has also created the Learjet 60 XR, a version with improved details. Several changes were also made to the aircraft to improve aerodynamics and reduce drag. It made its first flight on 10 October 1990 and received FAA certification in January 1993
The cabin is wide – 1.81 metres – but short, with a total length of 5.39 metres and 6 seats in the comfortable version.
The Learjet 60 is designed for speed. It has a faster climb at high altitude where it travels at a speed of Mach 0.81, or 1000 km/h. In addition to being fast, this jet is fuel efficient and is one of the most reliable mid-size jets on the air charter market.
