Commissioned by the King of Spain to host international dignitaries during the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, Hotel Alfonso XIII, a The Luxury Collection hotel, remains an iconic cultural landmark in Seville to this day. Located in the heart of the city, in the historic Santa Cruz district, a stone’s throw from the Reales Alcázares and Seville Cathedral, this five-star The Luxury Collection hotel is distinguished by its refined architecture and Moorish-inspired details. These elements have been sublimated to highlight Andalusian design and heritage to a new generation of travelers. The hotel’s elegant decor, from the lobby to the interior patio, reflects the authenticity of the Sevillian style. This atmosphere can also be found around the outdoor swimming pool and gardens, inviting guests to relax and recharge under the warm Andalusian sun.

History of Seville airport
In 1913, an air festival was held on the Taillade aerodrome, where a year later the first airplane flying between Morocco and Spain landed. Following this, Seville City Council granted a 240,000 m² plot of land to the army’s aeronautical service. An airfield was built there from 1915.
