History of the aerodrome

Gstaad airfield was used for military purposes during the Second World War and the Cold War. Its location was subject to military secrecy, not appearing in information manuals until the 1980s. Gradually, infrastructures were created to accommodate private jets.

Recommandations

On site, we recommend you to stay in the legendary palace: Gstaad Palace. You will be able to enjoy a pleasant and revitalising stay.

After a nice day spent on the slopes, we suggest you dine at the gourmet restaurant Le Sommet : the unique tasting menu prepared by Chef Martin Göschel will convince the most demanding palates.

AEROAFFAIRES also recommends you to practice heli-skiing or to try the Eisstock (a typical sport equivalent to curling) in the centre of Gstaad.
