The airport is located at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, only 5 kilometres from the city centre, or 10 minutes by car.

History of Marrakesh Ménara Airport
Built in 1942, the airport was used as a base by the American army until 1947.
It was expanded in 2008 and 2016 to cope with the increase in traffic, and it is one of the first airports in North Africa to have premises dedicated to private aviation.
In September 2019, Marrakesh Ménara will host the third edition of the MEBBA Show Morocco, a prestigious international exhibition for business aviation professionals, which brings together, every year, many professions related to the sector.
