Description of Learjet 40
The Learjet 40 private jet is a twin-engine jet, powered by Honeywell, with seating capacity for 6 passengers. It is manufactured by Bombardier and came into production in 2002 as a successor to the very well-regarded Learjet 45. Nevertheless, the Learjet 40 still manages to mark a step forward in terms of performance and comfort, making it a very attractive option for passengers flying medium-haul distances. It is, for example, considered to be an ideal light jet for travel in Europe as it has a maximum range of 3,250 km. It can also reach a top cruising speed of nearly 840 km/h.
The seats in the Learjet 40 are laid out with four in a club configuration and the remaining two facing forward. Passengers will find that there is increased legroom in the 40, giving the impression of flying in a larger jet. The overall goal of the Learjet 40 was to offer the comfort and performance of a mid-size jet but with the operating costs of a light jet and it more than delivers on this promise.
