Description of GULFSTREAM GIV
The Gulfstream G4, or GIV, is an economical choice for long flights, including transcontinental ones.
This highly versatile aircraft – which can carry up to 20 passengers – has been acquired by many armed forces and governments around the world, and holds an impressive list of world records achieved in the 1990s. Gulfstream then used this model to manufacture the G IV-X which then became the G 400, and in turn the G 450, further increasing the range of the aircraft to 8,000 km.
The cabin of the Gulfstream G4 was extended by one meter so that it now measures 13.70 meters.

Some key events:
- September 19, 1985: The G4 performs its maiden flight
- April 22, 1987: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officially certifies the G4
- June 1987: The G4 set 22 world records in its class by flying west around the world for 45 hr 25 min
- January 19, 2018: The last G450, a variant of the G4, is delivered, ending a 30-year production run after being replaced by the G500.
