The strategic role of business aviation highlighted byEBAA France
On the occasion of the Paris Air Show 2025, theEBAA France reaffirmed the decisive role of business aviation in the French aviation ecosystem. Too often reduced to a caricature, this branch of air transport plays a role in territorial cohesion, economic continuity and operational utility. In many regions – with little or no scheduled air service – business aviation is the only direct link to decision-making centers, industrial sites or strategic partners.
The recently published FNAM/UAF survey shows that 70% of French people believe in the sector’s ability to make a success of its ecological transition, and that 61% are already seeing concrete signs: fleet modernization, the rise of sustainable fuels (SAF), on-board innovations. Business aviation, with its greater flexibility, often plays a pioneering role. Some companies are already operating flights with 100% SAF, exceeding European targets.
EBAA France calls for a structuring political strategy to build a genuine SAF industry in France and Europe, with incitations to match ambitions. As the figures show, 80% of French people believe that a life without air travel would make their regions even more isolated. It is therefore essential to recognize the useful, chosen and responsible dimension of business aviation in regional development and business competitiveness.
