• Early 1900s : planes landed on the beach at Dieppe.
• 1933 : the Chamber of Commerce decides to create an airfield at Dieppe following the passing of a law allowing it to set up and manage airports.
• 1934 : The airfield is opened and officially inaugurated. But during the Second World War, it was occupied by the German air force, which installed a fighter squadron there.
• 1944 : Dieppe Saint-Aubin airfield is handed over to the French civil authorities, completely destroyed.
• 1948 : the airfield is restored and reopened to air traffic.
• 1972 : the runway of the airfield is extended to 820 m and a paved car park and taxiway are built.
• From 1976 onwards, new routes are operated by airlines, such as routes between the three cities of London, Deauville and Dieppe.
