A bit of history
Toulon Hyères Airport opened in 1925 as a naval base.
It appears in the last scenes of the movie “Vive la France” (2012), as an understudy of Figari Sud Airport in Corsica.
In 2018, it had to interrupt some of its civilian flights for several hours after the discovery of explosive devices from the Second World War nearby.
