Description of Gulfstream GIII
The Gulfstream G3 is a business jet produced by Gulfstream Aerospace. It is an improved and updated version of the Gulfstream II introduced in 1980. This version made significant improvements to the wing design and introduced a slightly longer fuselage and a new curved windshield.
Cost-effective with only two engines, it can carry 8 passengers over a considerable distance: 5,600 km, classifying the aircraft in the “Long Range Jets” category. Powered by Rolls-Royce, this robust aircraft flies at 880 km/h at an altitude of 13,700 metres (maximum speed: 930 km/h).
Specialised variants of the Gulfstream G3 have been used by NASA, adapted to carry UAVs and equipment. Three aircraft fitted with long-range cameras are also currently in use by the Indian Air Force.
