Description of FOKKER 50
The Fokker 50 jet, the successor to the Fokker 27 is a twin-turbo airliner that is very popular with airlines operating regular shuttles. The Netherlands-based manufacturer produced this jet between 1986 and 1997.
It can accommodate up to 50 passengers over distances of less than 1500 km. It is the ideal aircraft for transporting groups or sports teams; most of the aircraft are still available for rental throughout the world.

The Fokker 50 has a longer cabin in comparison to the Fokker F27-500 leaving room for more windows and consequently for more natural light to enter. The wings are equipped with wingtips that offer the same advantages as winglets. The key difference between the two aircraft is the change in engine specification. The Rolls-Royce Darts used by the Fokker 27 has been changed for Pratt & Whitney Canada PW124s.
