Description of MD 87
The MD-87 is part of the MD-80 series of aircraft from McDonnell Douglas. The jet has a shorter fuselage than its predecessor and can carry up 130 passengers for a range of up to 5,000 km. The aircraft is equipped with enhanced avionics and powerful engines; additional fuel tanks were able to boost the plane’s range. This jet’s first flight took place in 1987, with the year giving the aircraft its name.
