Description of Citation II
After the success of the Citation I, the American manufacturer Cessna decided to build an improved version of this light jet: the Citation II.
This simple and functional, light and robust aircraft can take off from short runways and can therefore access almost any airport as close as possible to the passengers’ final destination. Its two Pratt & Whitney JT15D-4 2500 pound engines are perfectly optimised for reasonable fuel consumption and give the aircraft an ideal power-to-weight ratio.
The aircraft allows 8 passengers to enjoy short flights at a very low cost (range of 2200 km with a maximum speed of 670km/h).
When you rent a Citation II, you are guaranteed a strong, reliable aircraft that can be used for multi-destination flights such as visits to production sites in Switzerland or France within a radius of 1,500 km.

Citation II A bit of history
The Citation II is a light business jet designed by Cessna Aircraft Company, an iconic American private aviation company. Introduced in 1977, it is a direct evolution of the Citation I, with significant improvements in performance, range and seating capacity.
From its launch, the Citation II was designed to meet the growing needs of business travellers and companies looking for a more spacious private jet, capable of making longer flights while keeping operating costs under control. Its success was immediate, and it quickly became one of the most popular private jets of its time.
Its improved design includes a larger cabin, accommodating up to 8 passengers, and a range extended to around 3,700 km, enabling it to fly non-stop to more distant destinations. Thanks to its ability to operate on short runways, it has offered travellers unprecedented flexibility, enabling them to land at regional and private airports that are often inaccessible to commercial aircraft.
With improved performance and a modernised cockpit, the Citation II won over private jet companies, individual owners and government fleets. It was produced until 1994, with over 1,100 examples built, before being replaced by more recent models such as the Citation Bravo and the Citation Jet (CJ) series.
Many Citation II s are still in service today, particularly in the business aviation and medical transport sectors, thanks to their reliability, optimised operating costs and comfort.
