Hawker 800XP: a bit of history
The Hawker 800 is a mid-size twinjet business aircraft. It was developed by British Aerospace and assembled by Hawker Beechcraft. The aircraft completed its first flight in May 1983.
This model has undergone several modifications and changes, such as a redesign of the cockpit windscreen. The aircraft was also fitted with uprated Garrett TFE731-5R-1H engines and improvements were made to the wing with the addition of new outer wing sections. This reduced drag on the model and improved aerodynamics overall.
Japan uses an adapted version of the Hawker as a maritime search and rescue aircraft. The aircraft is also used by the South Korean army for aerial reconnaissance and surveillance.
