Description of KING AIR 100
History and design of the King Air 100
The King Air 100 is a twin-engine turboprop plane, an expanded version of the famous Beechcraft King Air 90. It was updated with five cabin windows instead of three and the wings, tail, and engines of the Model 99.
The Model 100 made its first flight on March 17, 1969 and was officially announced in May of the same year. A total of 89 Model 100s were produced before the introduction of the new A100 model was introduced.
This aircraft’s stretched size allows it to carry 7 to 9 passengers in a larger and more comfortable cabin. It also was fitted with more efficient engines allowing it to reach a range of 2100 Km at a cruising speed of 420 Km/h.
