History of Lausanne Airport

Also known as “Lausanne – La Blécherette”, Lausanne Airport was one of the first civil airfields in Switzerland. Created in 1910, it was enlarged over time, with its first hangar in 1922.

Today, it has nearly 35,000 movements per year, almost 10% of the traffic coming from business and private aviation. It is also one of the airfields of the Swiss Air-Rescue Service.

Recommandations

You are planning to stay in Lausanne and are looking for a luxurious hotel with impeccable service? In this case, AEROAFFAIRES recommends the Beau-Rivage hotel.

If you wish to organise a dinner in one of Lausanne’s gourmet restaurants, we recommend La Table d’Edgar for the quality of its dishes. And to have a drink while admiring the sunset on Lake Geneva, head for the bar The Lacustre.

Finally, do not leave Lausanne without having discovered the Lavaux vineyard, just a few kilometres from the city centre. Of course, a visit to the cellars and a tasting are also to be expected.
