Lille Lesquin Airport is located 7 km south of Lille and 20 km from Belgium. It is at the heart of a very dense motorway network and is accessible in 15 minutes by car from the centre of Lille, using the A1 motorway from Paris and the A23 motorway from Belgium.

History of Lille Airport
During the Second World War, the Germans seized the site and made it an important military base. After the war and numerous changes of name, the aerodrome was renamed Lille Lesquin and opened to passenger traffic.
