Description of H130
The H130 is a member of the Airbus Ecureuil family, which represents 44% of the Airbus fleet in service and has accumulated more than 34 million flight hours worldwide.
The single-engine H130 (formerly known as the EC130 T2) is frequently used by tourist services, charter operators, VIP missions, surveillance missions and emergency medical services.
The Safran Arriel 2D turbine engine is equipped with a new technology two-channel full authority digital engine control (FADEC) system, with a third independent and automatic backup channel.
The multi-functional vehicle and engine display (VMED) integrated into the instrument panel reduces the pilot’s workload and increases flight safety.
Commercial features of H130
The H130 helicopter has a spacious cabin that offers different configurations: indeed, this helicopter can accommodate 1 pilot with 6 passengers, or 2 pilots with 5 passengers. In the case of medical air transport, the H130 can carry 2 pilots, a stretcher and 3 to 4 medical personnel.
The H130 is reputed to be the quietest helicopter in its class on the market. The H130’s Fenestron tail rotor and automatic variable rotor speed control contribute to the reduction of its external noise level.
