History of Nice Côte d’Azur Airport

It was the need to set up a postal service between Corsica and Nice that led to the creation of this airport in 1918.

It served as a military base during the Second World War and became a tourist airport in the 1950s. Over time, the airport has grown and modernized to become the third largest airport in France.

Recommandations

During your stay, we recommend that you book a room at Hotel Negresco, whose setting subtly blends a Louis XIII and modern style, while offering a breathtaking view of the sea.

You can also stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, the mythical beachfront of the Côte d’Azur.

Finally, we advise you to spend your evening at the restaurant La réserve de Nice, in order to taste the finest Mediterranean dishes, prepared with passion by the starred chef Jérôme Cotta.
