Saint-Tropez: Introduction
AEROAFFAIRES offers private jet charter and helicopter transfers to La Mole Saint-Tropez from or to Paris le Bourget, Ibiza, London, Lyon, Strasbourg, Bordeaux…etc, as well as from La Mole Saint-Tropez airport for domestic flights within France to Nice, Cannes and Monaco airports, and to Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, England, Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the USA.
Located in the heart of the Côte d’ Azur, La Môle Saint-Tropez airport has a terminal entirely dedicated to private aviation. It is one of the smallest international airports in the world, but also a vector of notoriety for the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. St Tropez confirms its place in the world of high-end tourism.
The La Môle aerodrome has its own limitations, and a number of external factors such as cloud size, heat or wind conditions need to be taken into account when planning your trip, as they may limit the ability to act on site. In particular, we advise you to take off or land in the morning or at the end of the day, rather than in the afternoon. The best times to avoid are between 12pm and 5pm. This is the period when restrictions are most likely to be applied, and it will help you avoid having to divert your plane to Toulon, for example.
Useful information
La Môle Saint-Tropez Airport is open 7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the summer. Extensions may be requested for takeoffs as early as 7:30 a.m. and later arrivals, provided they are before sunset, as night flights are not permitted.
The airport features the SkyValet terminal, which is entirely dedicated to business and private aviation.
Keep in mind that flights are limited by the short runway length (1,071 m available for takeoff and 931 m for landing), which allows for turboprops (such asKing Air models) and light private jets (such as theCitation Mustang,Phenom 100, orPhenom 300), but restricting access for larger aircraft. Weather conditions also pose a major limitation, as the airport is surrounded by significant terrain. If the outside temperature is too high (affecting the asphalt runway) or if wind speeds exceed 30 km/h, for example, aircraft are diverted to Toulon Hyères Airport. Pilots must therefore obtain a special qualification from the Southeast Regional Civil Aviation Authority. With over 4,000 aircraft, the number of commercial flights is further limited to 10,000 per year to prevent noise pollution.
In September 2016, several border checkpoints were closed, including the one at La Môle. Since the airport no longer had customs status, only flights to or from the Schengen Area were then possible—a decision that was not without consequences. Finally, since July 2017, the border crossing has been open only during the high season, and international flights can thus take place from June 15 to September 30. For other times of the year, please refer to the airports in Toulon-Hyères, Cannes-Mandelieu, Nice, or Marseille.

Charter rates to or from Saint-Tropez
The charter rate for a private jet departing from or arriving in Saint-Tropez La Môle starts at around €3,000 (excl. tax) per flight hour for a Pilatus PC-12 NG or an Embraer Phenom 100, and can reach €6,500 per hour (excluding tax) for a Citation XLS+ or an Embraer Praetor 500. As a rough guide, chartering a private jet for a Paris Le Bourget–Saint-Tropez flight starts at €5,500 (excl. tax) for a one-way trip on a Phenom 300, and a Geneva–Saint-Tropez flight is around €4,500 (excl. tax). The final quote depends on the aircraft selected, the distance, positioning fees, taxes, and seasonality, which is particularly pronounced between June and September.
Baggage capacity varies by aircraft
Baggage capacity varies significantly depending on the aircraft type, which is a major consideration for Saint-Tropez given the airport’s limitations. A Very Light Jet such as a Citation Mustang or Phenom 100 can carry between 100 and 200 kilograms of baggage, equivalent to one carry-on and one checked bag per passenger. A light jet such as a Phenom 300 or CJ3+ offers a cargo capacity of 300 to 400 kilograms. The Pilatus PC-12, particularly popular for this destination, can accommodate up to 450 kilograms thanks to its dedicated cargo door. Bulky equipment, golf bags, kitesurfing boards, film equipment, or yachting luggage must be declared at the time of the quote. Your AEROAFFAIRES aviation experts will then select the aircraft whose cabin, cargo hold, and performance match your actual cargo.

Entirely dedicated to general and business aviation, it features a 750-square-meter passenger terminal, a 1,200-square-meter hangar, a Jet-AVGAS fueling station, a weather station, a 100-car parking lot, and accessible parking.

-
High seasonality:
-
Private traffic surges from May to September, peaking in July and August.
-
Helicopter transfers from Nice, Cannes, or Toulon are then at full capacity: during the summer, traffic is heavy. However, AEROAFFAIRES remains able to arrange transfers even at the last minute, thanks to its network of operators and its ability to plan ahead.
-
The Air Gendarmerie and the DGAC step up checks during the high season (ID, security, slots).
-
-
La Môle is a restricted-access airport:
-
limited operating hours (closes at sunset, no night flights),
-
demanding approach procedures (enclosed valley, wind, terrain),
-
requirement for qualified and authorized crews at this airfield.
-
-
Parking is very limited. In summer, aircraft do not remain parked for long: they drop off passengers and then depart.
-
Its single runway, oriented 06/24 (length: 1,180 m, asphalt surface, parallel taxiway, PAPI lighting, runway lighting), is used only during the day— night operations are prohibited.

Location & access
La Môle Saint-Tropez Airport is located in the French commune of La Môle, in the heart of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, 15 kilometers south of Saint-Tropez.
If you wish, AEROAFFAIRES can arrange for a chauffeur-driven vehicle upon your arrival or departure from the airport. Whether you prefer a Mercedes S-Class, a Viano, or a limousine, we provide the most suitable vehicle for your needs for as long as you require.
Access to the airport by car is as follows:
- Coming from Toulon via the RD98: follow signs for “Saint-Tropez” until you reach a roundabout, where you should take the exit for “La Môle.” Please note: both directions indicated lead to Saint-Tropez, but only the left-hand exit leads to the airport.
- Coming from Port Grimaud or Saint-Tropez: take the Route du Littoral, then follow signs for “Hyères Toulon,” and finally “La Môle.”
AEROAFFAIRES also offers the option to book a helicopter to take you there as quickly as possible. Since some jets are not authorized to take off and land at the Saint-Tropez airport, an attractive alternative is to fly to cities such as Nice, Cannes, Marseille, or Monaco in the aircraft of your choice, and then be transferred by helicopter. The helicopter transfer is point-to-point, taking you directly to the city center—an opportunity to discover it from the sky and make the most of your time.
