FlexFlight and its activities
Presentation of the airline FlexFlight
Flexflight is an airline founded in 2000 by a Dane, Christian Honoré. He operates as captain on Boeing 737 aircraft. So he’s always had his feet firmly planted in the aviation industry. It was his knowledge and expertise of the aviation market that led him to set up his own airline. FlexFlight was born. Its head office is based in Roskilde. The company is also based at Copenhagen airport. Initially, the airline served the main cities in Denmark, before expanding internationally. In particular, it is teaming up with other airlines to offer alternatives and cheap flights. FlexFlight also has international offices in San Marino, a micro-country in the interior of Italy, and in Bangkok, Thailand.
This airline stands out from the rest because it offers a number of activities, which are described below.
Business aviation with FlexFlight airline
Firstly, FlexFlight has its own fleet of more than ten business jets. These are chartered according to demand. FlexFlight’s own fleet can carry between 5 and 14 passengers on average, depending on the private jet. The airline makes its business jets available. The advantage is that by operating with private jets, they can access 10 times more airports in the world than by using commercial aviation. This is a real advantage that multiplies the destinations available and the number of aircraft seats when opting for business aviation.
Secondly, in addition to its fleet of business aircraft, FlexFlight also operates as an airline broker. Depending on the flight search, if the aircraft in their fleet are not available, FlexFlight can charter another aircraft from another company to book your flight. Like an air broker, it proposes a business jet according to the charter request. This could be for air freight with a cargo aircraft, or to organise a return flight for a group, for example.
Finally, to complete its activity, FlexFlight offers ACMI (Aircraft, Complete Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) flights. These flights are intended for other airlines wishing to use and lease an aircraft from the FlexFlight fleet. The leased aircraft is supplied with crew, insurance and maintenance. Fuel, for example, is paid for by the company hiring the aircraft. FlexFlight offers Gulfstream G200 and Challenger 604 private jets.
Cheap flights offered by FlexFlight
To book a ticket or find a ticket at the best price with the airline, you can find FlexFlight flights through travel sites. The Danish airline is a partner of several other companies and entities in the air transport sector. Like a flight comparator, it offers low-cost flights based on its partners’ offers. The Danish airline also offers itineraries and destinations proposed by the airlines with which it works, both for journeys within Europe and to the American continent. Most of these routes are scheduled. As FlexFlight does not directly operate the flight, for all specific requests for services in the cabin and during the flight, customers must refer to the partner operating the flight. FlexFlight then acts only as an intermediary.
Air ambulance flights operated by FlexFlight airlines
FlexFlight regularly carries out medical evacuations and repatriations. It operates both nationally and internationally. The Danish airline has two aircraft specially equipped for this type of flight. These aircraft are the Pilatus PC-12 and the Challenger 604. These private jets can accommodate a medical team, a stretcher and all the medical equipment needed for a medical flight. This includes intensive care units, as well as an isolation room for patients on Covid 19, for example.
Aircraft management with FlexFlight
FlexFlight can also offer aircraft management services. These are private aircraft that FlexFlight manages and puts into service when the owner does not have use for them. FlexFlight also holds an Air Operator Certificate (AOC), which guarantees the safety standards of the aircraft in the fleet.
FlexFlight offers a host of advantages for managing the private jets of its owners. For example, owners can have and use their aircraft whenever they want, even at the last minute for flights from Paris to Majorca, for example. On the other hand, the company makes the aircraft profitable by hiring it out for other routes if the owner is not using it. FlexFlight also takes care of all the maintenance, cleaning and upkeep of the aircraft. The owner is exempt from all this management.
Travel arrangements with FlexFlight
When you travel with FlexFlight in business aviation, the number of baggage items and accessories you can take depends on the aircraft model and capacity. And when you travel on-demand, there’s no need to check in, as you go straight to the VIP terminals.
However, if you are travelling on scheduled flights with defined aircraft and itineraries, the terms and conditions are as follows. As with other airlines, the number of baggage items is limited. You can take one piece of cabin baggage and one accessory or small bag in addition (maximum 8 kg). As regards hold baggage, depending on your ticket and the class in which you are travelling, you can take a suitcase weighing between 23 and 32 kilos. You can check in directly on the FlexFlight website, or on the website of the partner airline you are travelling with.
The FlexFlight fleet of business jets
FlexFlight’s fleet of private jets comprises around ten aircraft, ranging from long-haul private jets to light private jets. This enables the company to meet a maximum number of charter requests for business-class aircraft.
The fleet includes business jets such as the Bombardier Challenger 604, the Gulfstream G200, the Cessna Citation CJ2+, Citation Bravo, Citation M2 and the Pilatus PC-12.
Here are some examples of aircraft with different ranges and capacities:
- Challenger 604: this is a long-haul private jet for long-distance flights. It has a range of 7,700 km. The cabin of this business jet is spacious and can accommodate up to 14 passengers, depending on the configuration. What’s more, this aircraft is often used for medical evacuations, given its capacity and cabin space.
- Gulfstream G200: this is an intermediate private jet. Ideal for medium-haul flights, it can carry 8 passengers in luxurious comfort and renowned design, notably with its oval windows.
- Citation CJ2+: this light private jet is ideal for short-haul operations. This aircraft is very popular with company directors looking to expand. It’s fast and offers great value for money. The aircraft comfortably seats 6 passengers.
- Pilatus PC-12: This single-engine private jet is a sure bet for business and on-demand aviation. It is highly versatile. It can be used for business or leisure flights, but also for medical repatriation or as a cargo aircraft for transporting goods. It can also land on short runways such as Saint Tropez or Cap Ferret, giving it access to many airports. Its cabin can accommodate up to 8 passengers.
